| Captain Robert F. Scott refers to Castle Rock on many occasions in his journals. After seeing a safety video and checking out a radio at the McMurdo firehouse, you can walk to Castle Rock in about two hours on a well-marked trail, undoubtably in the footsteps of Scott, Wilson, Bowers, and the others in that ill-fated expedition.
