Isn't this beautiful !! You can see most of the 9500 phototubes with their reflectors. In the center is the acrylic vessel, about 40 feet in diameter. It's clear but the lighting makes it look amber colored.

It seems strange that, to see into the core of our Sun with neutrinos, we have first to build a "telescope" a mile underground.
